PURUK CAHU, RAKYATKALTENG.com – Rekaman video yang berdurasi 40 detik memperlihatkan sebuah peristiwa kebakaran yang menghanguskan sebuah bangunan walet yang berada di Jalan Muara Tuhup KM 5 ternyata milik Mis’an (60) warga Kelurahan Muara Laung pada Jumat sore (1/10) kemarin.
Ternyata dalam kejadian tersebut, sambaran petir pada peralatan tenaga surya yang berada diatas bangunan menjadi pemicu terjadinya percikan api pada bagian atas bangunan dan dengan cepat api membesar mengingat konstruksi bangunan terbuat dari kayu.
Kapolres Murung Raya (Mura), AKBP I Gede Putu Widyana melalui Kapolsek Laung Tuhup Ipda Ismail Lubis membenarkan kronologis dari peristiwa tersebut.
“Berjarak hanya 5 meter dari bangunan walet yang terbakar tersebut ada sebuah pondok warga yang juga merupakan saksi atas kejadian tersebut, beruntung tidak ada korban jiwa dalam peristiwa terbakarnya bangunan walet tersebut yang diakibatkan sambaran petir,” kata Kapolsek Laung Tuhup, Sabtu (2/10/2021).
Tercatat atas kejadian tersebut pemilik bangunan walet mengalami kerugian materi sebesar Rp 150.000.000 dan hanya beberapa barang pada bagian bawah yang berhasil diselamatkan oleh saksi sebelum bangunan tersebut ludes terbakar.
“Atas kejadian ini, kami menghimbau agar masyarakat selalu waspada. Apabila kondisi cuaca buruk disertai adanya petir segera melakukan antisipasi dengan menghentikan arus listrik yang berada diluar bangunan rumah seperti antena radio, parabola digital, tenaga surya dan sebagainya yang dapat memicu sambaran petir,” imbuh Ipda Ismail Lubis.
